Specimen Required:	Collect: Serum Separator Tube (SST) OR Lavender (EDTA). Please follow specimen preparation for plasma -1.5 ml. DO NOT SEND ORIGINAL Lavender (EDTA) TUBE! PLEASE SUBMIT A UNIQUE TUBE FOR THIS TEST Specimen Preparation: Follow all precaution for handling biological material. Use all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Whole blood can be stored at 2°C to 30°C prior to centrifugation and must be centrifuged within 6 hours of specimen collection. Transfer plasma to a Standard Transport tube. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered. Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated or Frozen. Unacceptable Conditions: Heparinized specimens. Whole blood. Any sample that is mislabeled; Any broken or damaged tubes. Stability: After separation from cells: Ambient: Unacceptable; For serum or plasma separated from cells in transport tube: Refrigerated: 5 days ; Frozen: 60 days Note: *This test is FDA approved for All States.
