Specimen Required:Collect: Serum Separator Tube (SST) AND  Lavender (EDTA) 

Specimen Preparation:  All human blood samples are considered to be potentially infectious and are to be treated as such. Follow all precaution for handling biological material. Use all appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Allow SST specimen to clot completely at room temperature. Separate serum from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. 
Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated.
Stability:
For SST: After separation of cells: Refrigerated: 3 days, Frozen: 1 month 
For LAV: Refrigerated: 48 hours
