Specimen Required: | Patient Preparation: None Required Collect: Serum Separator Tube (SST) OR Red Top Tube OR Green (Heparin) Tube – 0.5 ml serum or plasma. Specimen Preparation: Follow all precaution for handling biological material. Use all appropriate personal protective equipment(PPE). Allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature. Separate serum or plasma from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Pour serum or plasma after separation in Standard Transfer Tube and immediately freez at-20˚C. Storage/Transport Temperature: FROZEN Stability: After separation of cells: Frozen: 30 days Unacceptable Specimens: Whole Blood, Specimen Kept at Ambient Temperature, Hemolyzed, Refrigerated Specimen.
