Urinalysis with reflex to Urine Culture

Methodology:Reflectance Spectrophotometry/Microscopy
Performed:Mon-Sun
Reported:1-2 days. Reflex will follow additional 3-5 days.
Specimen Required:Collect:  Random Urine in a Sterile Container AND Grey (Boric Acid) Urine Culture Tube. 

Specimen Preparation:  Follow all precaution for handling biological material. Use all appropriate Personal 
Protective  Equipment (PPE). The specimen must be properly labeled (at least 2 unique identifiers).
Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated.
Unacceptable Conditions: Quantity not sufficient for analysis; tubes with tartaric acid;  frozen specimens.
The specimen not properly labeled (at least 2 unique identifiers).
Stability:  Sterile Container: Refrigerated: 48 hours; Frozen: Unacceptable       
         Grey Culture Tube: Refrigerated: 48 hours;  Frozen: Unacceptable
Components:–
#030 Urinalysis: Color, clarity, specific gravity, pH, protein, glucose, ketone, nitrite, bilirubin, urine blood, leukocytes.
