Specimen Required:Collect: Serum Separator Tube  (SST) – 0.5 ml serum

Specimen Preparation: Allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature. Separate serum or plasma from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection.
Storage/Transport Temperature: Frozen
Stability: After separation of cells: Ambient: 24 hours; Refrigerated: 1 week; Frozen: 1 month
At ACCU: Refrigerated: 1 week; Frozen: 2 weeks
Unacceptable Conditions: Plasma, tissue or urine. Grossly hemolyzed or lipemic specimens.
