Specimen Required: | Collect: Red Top Tube OR lavender (K2EDTA)- 0.5 ml serum or plasma. Specimen Preparation: Separate from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer serum or plasma to a standard transport tube. Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated. Stability: After separation of cells: Ambient: 1 month; Refrigerated: 1 month; Frozen: 1 month At ACCU: Refrigerated: 1 week Unacceptable Conditions: Polymer gel separation tube (SST or PST).
