Collect: Whole Blood Lavender (EDTA) 

Specimen Preparation: All blood Samples are considered to be potentially infective and are to be treated
as such. Follow all precaution for handling biological material. . Use all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Transport 5 mL whole blood in original tube. Mix specimen thoroughly
Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated.
Stability : Refrigerated: 7 days 
Rejection Criteria: Clotted sample; sample that is mislabeled; Sample without a test request; Any broken or damaged tubes. Rejected samples will be recorded in a log book and physicians will be notified.
