Specimen Required:	Patient Preparation: Abstain from monoamine oxidase inhibitor drugs for one week prior to collection. Collect: Serum Separator (SST) Tube OR Red Top Tube -0.5 ml serum. Specimen Preparation: Allow serum tube to clot completely at room temperature. Separate serum from cells ASAP and freeze below -20 degrees C . Storage/Transport Temperature: FROZEN. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered. Unacceptable Conditions: Non-frozen specimens. Specimens other than serum. Specimen grossly lipemic or hemolyzed.
