Specimen Required:Collect: Serum Separator Tube (SST) – 1 ml serum.
Specimen Preparation: Allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature. Separate serum from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. 
Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated.
Unacceptable Conditions: Contaminated, heat-inactivated, hemolytic, icteric, lipemic, or turbid specimens.
Stability: After separation from cells: Refrigerated: 1 week; Frozen: 1 month (avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles)
