Collect: Royal blue-top (EDTA) tube –  0.5   ml whole blood. 

Specimen Preparation: Send Original Tube  to the laboratory in a Styrofoam box that is filled with ice, stabilizing samples at 2-8°C for 24 hours. 
Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated
Causes for Rejection: Specimen collected in tubes other than BD brand Royal Blue EDTA; Clotted specimen; Unlabeled Specimen; specimens other than whole blood
Stability: Refrigerated: 1 week
