Performed:Mon-Fri
Reported:1-4 days from receipt of specimen.
Specimen Required:Patient Preparation: The patient should be at rest before collecting the sample. Movement of hand or arm should be avoided.

Collect: Gray (sodium fluoride/potassium oxalate) – 2 ml plasma.
Specimen Preparation: Centrifuge sample and separate plasma from cells within 15 minutes of collection. Transfer plasma to a plastic transport tube and clearly label as plasma from a sodium fluoride/potassium-oxalate.
Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated. 
Stability: After separation from cells: Room temperature : 8 hours; Refrigerated: 2 weeks; Frozen: 1 month
