Collect:  No additive trace metal-free (dark blue-top) tube OR EDTA trace metal-free (dark blue-top) tube – 0.5 ml. serum OR plasma.

Specimen Preparation: Sample should be separate plasma from cells and transport plasma into a transport tube. 
Storage/Transport Temperature: Room Temperature.
Stability: After separation of cells: Room temperature: 10 days; Refrigerated: 10 days; Frozen: Unacceptable
At ACCU: Refrigerated: 7 days
Specimen Rejection Criteria:  Specimens received frozen • Anticoagulants other than EDTA
