Specimen Required:	Patient Preparation: None required Collect: Serum Separator Tube (SST) – 0.5 ml serum. Specimen Preparation: Follow all precaution for handling biological material. Use all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Allow blood to clot completely at room temperature (20-26°C) and centrifuge for 10 to 15 min. It is important to centrifuge blood samples immediately after collection to separate the serum from the blood cells. If immediate centrifugation is not possible, collected blood specimens should be kept on ice and centrifuged within an hour. Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigearated. Stability: After separation of cells: Room Temperature: 4 days; Refrigerated: 1 week; Frozen: 2 seeks. Rejection Criteria: •Specimen collected in the incorrect tubes •Specimen received with mismatched or no patient identifiers. •Specimen received outside of stability requirements. •Grossly Hemolyzed or Lipemicsamples.
