Specimen Required: | Collect: Random OR 24-hour urine in a plastic container – 4 ml. Refrigerate during collection. Specimen Preparation: Transfer an aliquot from a well-mixed random or 24-hour collection to a Standard Transport Tube and freeze immediately. Record total volume and collection time interval on transport tube and test request form. Storage/Transport Temperature: CRITICAL FROZEN. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered. Unacceptable Conditions: Room temperature specimens.
