Specimen Preparation: Collect separate tube for each timed point 1st draw: fasting basis; administer a 75 gram glucose load immediately after the 1st draw; 2nd draw – 1 hour after the administration of glucose; 3rd draw – 1 hour after the 2nd draw; 4th draw – 1 hour after the 3rd draw; 5th draw – 1 hour after the 4th draw; 6th draw – 1 hour after the 5th draw; Total – 6 gray tubes Storage/Transport Temperature: Room Temperature Stability: Room Temperature 48 hours, Refrigerated 72 hours At Accu Reference: Refrigerated – 3 days Note: Label each tube with the patient’s name and time interval NOTE: * This test is approved for all states. * Performing Lab Accu Reference Medical Laboratory |
