Specimen Preparation:
1st draw: fasting basis; administer a 50 or 75 gram glucose load immediately after the 1st draw; 
2nd draw – 1 hour after the administration of glucose; 
3rd draw – 1 hour after the 2nd draw;
4th draw – 1 hour after the 3rd draw; 
5th draw – 1 hour after the 4th draw;
Total – 5 gray tubes
Storage/Transport Temperature: Room Temperature
Stability: Room Temperature 48 hours; Refrigerated: 72 hours
Label each tube with the patient’s name and time interval
