Specimen Required:Collect: Gray (sodium fluoride/potassium oxalate). 
Specimen Preparation:
1st draw: fasting basis; administer a 50 or 75 gram glucose load immediately after the 1st draw;
2nd draw- 1 hour after the administration of glucose;
Specimen Preparation Recommendations: Separate plasma from cells and refrigerate within 2 hours of collection.
Total – 2 grey tubes.
Storage/Transport Temperature: Room Temperature
