Specimen Required: | Patient Preparation: No fasting is required. The analysis is carried out preferentially on urine collected over 24hours. Collect: Random Urine OR 24 hrs. urine – 5 ml urine Specimen Preparation: Follow all precaution for handling biological material. Use all appropriate Persona Protective Equipment (PPE). Urine specimen should be collected into a clean, leak-proof sterile container. IMPORTANT: Do not store samples at -18/-30°C. Thawed or improperly stored samples may show modified or additional fractions due to protein degradation. NOTE: Urine samples should not be stored at room temperature. Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated. Stability: Refrigerated: 1 week. Rejection Criteria: Any sample that is mislabeled; Any broken or damaged containers; improperly stored urine samples; samples with turbidity or red coloration (case of hemolysis); Specimen received outside of stability requirements.
