Specimen Required: | Patient Preparation: Timing of specimen collection: Pre-dose (trough) draw – At steady state concentration. Collect: Plain Red OR Lavender (EDTA) OR Green (sodium or lithium heparin) OR Gray (sodium fluoride/potassium oxalate) – 2 ml serum or plasma. Specimen Preparation: Allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature . Separate serum or plasma from cells within 6 hours of collection. Transfer serum or plasma to a Standard Transport Tube. Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated. Unacceptable Conditions: Gel separator tubes or gels of any kind; drug loss is immediate and no testing will be performed.
