Reported:2-5 days from receipt of specimen.
Specimen Required:Collect: Plain Red OR Lavender (K2EDTA) OR Lavender (K3EDTA) OR Green (sodium heparin) OR Gray (potassium oxalate/sodium fluoride) OR Pink (K2EDTA) – 2.5 ml serum or plasma.

Specimen Preparation: Allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature. Separate serum or plasma from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer  serum or plasma to a Standard Transport Tube.
Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated.
Unacceptable Conditions: Whole blood; Serum Separator tubes; Lt. blue (sodium citrate). Specimens exposed to repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Stability: After separation from cells:  Room Temperature: 1 week; Refrigerated: 2 weeks; Frozen: 3 years   
At ACCU: Refrigerated: 1 week
