Specimen Required:Collect: Lt. Blue (sodium citrate) – 2 ml plasma.
Specimen Preparation: Allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature . Separate plasma from cells, transfer platelet-poor plasma to a Standard Transport Tube. 
Storage/Transport Temperature: CRITICAL FROZEN. 
Unacceptable Conditions: Serum. EDTA plasma or hemolyzed specimens. 
Stability: Ambient: 4 hours; Refrigerated: Unacceptable; Frozen: 2 weeks
