| Specimen Required: | Collect: Serum Separator Tube (SST). Specimen Preparation: Follow all precaution for handling biological material. Use all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature. Separate serum from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated. Stability: After separation of cells: Refrigerated: 1 week, Frozen: 2 weeks At ACCU: Refrigerated/Frozen: 1 week Remark: Additional SST Tube needs to be drawn if multiple tests are ordered. Rejection Criteria: Any sample that is mislabeled; Any broken or damaged tubes.
