Specimen Required: | Patient Preparation: None required Collect: Serum Separator Tube (SST) – 0.5 ml serum. Specimen Preparation: Follow all precaution for handling biological material. Use all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature. Separate serum from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated.Store serum at 2-8°C until analysis. Stability: After separation of cells: Refrigerated: 1 week, Frozen 2 weeks Rejection Criteria: Any sample that is mislabeled; Any broken or damaged tubes.
