Collect: 
Preferred Specimen: PINK-K2 EDTA (pink-top) tube – whole blood.
Alternative Specimen: LAV EDTA – whole blood

Specimen Preparation: Send original Tube to the Lab.  
Storage/Transportation: Refrigerated
Stability: Refrigerated: 5 days
Rejection Criteria: Any sample that is mislabeled; Any broken or damaged tubes; hemolyzed and lipemia, SST tubes, specimen over its stability. 

REMARK: If submitting with a CBC, HbA1c, or any other test requiring an EDTA (lavender-top) tube, please submit additional separate tube for this test.
