Specimen Required: | Patient Preparation: None required Collect: Serum Separator Tube (SST) – 0.5 ml serum. Specimen Preparation: Follow all precaution for handling biological material. Use all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Allow blood to clot completely at room temperature (20-26°C) for 30-60 minutes, centrifuge for 10 to 15 min. Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated. Stability: After separation of cells: Refrigerated: 1 week, Frozen 2 weeks NOTE: Specimens must be free of haemolysis, lipemia, visible microbial contamination, and have not undergone any heat-treatment. Rejection Criteria: Any sample that is mislabeled; Any broken or damaged tubes. Components:0301 ANA Screen, w/IFA reflex with titer & pattern.
