Specimen Required: | Collect: Serum Separator Tube (SST) OR Red Top Tube – 0.5 ml serum. Specimen Preparation: Allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature. Separate serum from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. If tube other than a gel-barrier tube is used, transfer separated serum to a plastic transport tube. Storage/Transport Temperature: Room Temperature.Ship at ambient or frozen temperature Monday through Friday. Stability: After separation of cells: Room Temperature/Refrigerated/Frozen: 4 weeks At Accu: Refrigerated: 1 week; Frozen: 2 weeks.
