Specimen Required: | Collect: Serum Separator Tube (SST) OR Red Top Tube – 2 ml serum. Specimen Preparation: Allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature. Separate serum from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Storage/Transport Temperature: Room Temperature. Should be sent to the Laboratory Monday through Friday. Stability: After separation of cells: Room Temperature/Refrigerated/Frozen: 4 weeks. At Accu: Refrigerated: 1 wek; Frozen: 2 weeks. Remark: Sample must be labeled with patient’s name and collection date.
