Specimen Required: | Patient Preparation: None required. Collect: Serum Separator Tube (SST) – 0.5 ml serum. Specimen Preparation: Follow all precaution for handling biological material. Use all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Allow specimen to clot (15 min.) completely at room temperature. Separate serum from cells by centrifuging for 10 min. Store serum at 2-8°C until analysis. Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated. Stability: Refrigerated 1 week, Frozen 2 weeks . Avoid repeated freezing and thawing of the specimen.
