Specimen Required:Patient Preparation: None required. 
Collect: Serum Separator Tube (SST) – 1 tube.
Specimen Preparation: Allow specimen to clot (15 min.) completely at room temperature. Separate serum from cells by centrifuging for 10 min.
Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated.
Stability: Refrigerated 1 week, Frozen 2 weeks. 
Reject Creteria: Mislabeled; broken or damaged tubes, the sample w/o test request, not SST specimen collected, specimen received  outside of stability  requirements.
